Let us preface with this: we are not really big Halloween fans. But this year, with Becky's sewing skills improving, she knew she really wanted to make Olivia a real costume. We began questioning Olivia months ago, but finally decided upon Alice! Becky set out in search of costume ideas and patterns. After a few alterations and tweakings, the end result came out pretty cute!
And yes, our fan did assist with the finishing touches. |
Now stick a sassy li'l toddler in it with some tights, and the ensemble becomes downright adorable!
Little Miss Alice on her way to Wonderland! |
We (ok, mostly Becky) wanted us to all go with the same theme, so we whipped up some not-too-shabby Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum costumes. And please, resist the temptation to ask "Now which one is Tweedle Dum?" We were asked it about 8 zillion times, to which we usually replied with a polite laugh then walked away.
First thing we did was, of course, head right over to Fantasyland and do the tea cups and the Alice in Wonderland ride.
At this point of the party, most people were busy getting their candy, so we took advantage of the short/nonexistent lines and went on a bunch of rides!

The foggy river, where the "Cadaver Dans" sang Halloween songs. |
We then started down the treat trails (candy stations scattered all over the park). Olivia got pretty good at saying her "Trick-or-treat!" We had heard that they had a lot of candy, but OH BOY, did they have a lot of candy!!
Finally succumbed to sleep, cuddling her treats. |
