Finally Back in Disneyland!

Finally! We got to go back to Disneyland! It had been two and a half months since our last visit and a month since we went to Disney World, so suffice it to say that we were ready for another trip! We know...it's a hard life we lead...

The tea cups were down, so a stationary one had to do. Olivia still made her dizzy, "whoa, whoa whoa" face on it, though!

We did a princess tour of Disneyland. We started off with Aladdin and Jasmine (who was not that impressed that she was on Olivia's t-shirt), but Genie stole the show.

Then off to see Cinderella!

Then Belle. We're glad that she's becoming one of Olivia's favorites. They had a pretty riveting discussion about the Beast, as you can tell.

And Snow White!

But no trip to Disneyland would really be complete for Olivia without seeing her favorite...

...Ariel. Who obviously got the best grin out of Olivia.

We tried to see Rapunzel, but her line was a little long. Mostly because she had five minute conversations with all the grown-ups coming to see her without kids. So, a picture by her maypole tower would have to do instead:

And, after all that excitement, it was time for a little power nap...

...so we could be ready for the parade and fireworks.

But waiting for a parade is hard sometimes...

But it was a pretty successful Disneyland trip in the end. Glad to be back.

Gilliham Wedding!

We just got back from the most wonderful little trip to see one of Becky's best friend's get married in Utah.  It was extra lovely because we got to see both Kathryn and Abby's families along the way - hooray!!

World's sassiest road-tripper.

First stop: Las Vegas.

Olivia was THRILLED to see Calvin!  Calvin...not so much ;)
Lunch with Logan.
Master of the head tilt.

Next we drove on up to American Fork to Abby's house, because the next day was Matthew's wedding in Salt Lake.

Whitney and Matthew are married!!

The Fab Four

Olivia spend lots of time playing with cousins Lindy and Kyla while we were at the wedding.  This was Olivia's first real experience "playing in the front yard".  She was a big fan.

...couldn't quite figure out the bike thing, though...
Beautiful Lindy
Sweet Kyla

We spent one day down in Provo seeing old friends and visiting the good ol' BYU.

We love you, Heidi Blake Jones!

Unfortunately, we had to start making our return journey home.  We stopped in Las Vegas again for one night and played a little bit before getting back in the car.

Despite a couple intense melt-downs, Olivia was a decent traveller during our many hours of driving.  But it was worth it - we loved seeing everyone!

Walt Disney World!

Two weeks ago we took a lovely trip Walt Disney World!  Every summer we try to do a get-together with Becky's parents, her siblings and their families, and this year it just happened to be at one of the happiest places on earth (I must say "one of the" because we are now pretty big Disneyland fans, too).  We never really considered ourselves to be a "big" family, but now with spouses and five grandkids thrown into the mix, I guess we have turned into quite the big group!

We stayed at the All-Star Sports resort (cuz ya know, we're such big athletes).  It was perfect - all of our rooms were right by each other, there was a big pool, and it had a great food court.

O for Olivia!
We started out our trip by going to Epcot!  Olivia's favorite part was visiting Nemo in The Seas exhibit.

Yay, a group photo!
The next day we had lots of fun at Animal Kingdom.  We went to a petting zoo area and Olivia loved meeting the goats and sheep.
It took her a minute to warm up to it...

Digging for dinosaur bones with cousins Kyla and Logan

Yup, it was pretty bright...

Lovin' on Baby Cal!

We then headed to Magic Kingdom, which was probably our favorite park.  It was really fun to see all the new stuff in Fantasyland.

People Movers!!

In the afternoon, Olivia and cousin Lindy decided to take a break from the Florida heat by playing and dancing in some misters in Tomorrowland.  They got pretty soaked!

On Sunday we took it easy by having a little "family home evening" time and visiting a couple other resorts.

At the Art of Animation resort

The next day we went to Hollywood Studios.  It was like coming back home to North Hollywood :) ok, not really.

Funny faces at Toy Story Midway Mania
There's nothin' better than eating a giant Mickey-shaped cookie the size of your face.

Our last day we visited Downtown Disney and went to good ol' Magic Kingdom again.

Meeting her favorite, Ariel!
And just like that, our trip was over!  We had a lot of fun, but it went by way too fast.  Besides eating yummy Disney food and going on awesome rides, the best part was Olivia getting to play with her cousins.  We hope we can all get together again rill soon!
