On April 22nd, Nick and Becky celebrated their third wedding anniversary! Seriously, it's already been three years?! Time flies when you are married to someone awesome :)
Later that week we flew to good ol' Utah for Nick's sister Megan's graduation from BYU! When we moved away from Provo almost 2 years ago, we seriously thought we had blown that popsicle stand for good...but (strangely) it felt nice to be back there for a few days.
In the Marriott Center! Megan is the one in the blue cap and gown.
The Thacker family!
Proud brothers Nick and Josh with Megan
Congratulations, Aunt Megan!
Even though it was a quick visit, we were able to visit lots of family and friends. We even went to a great BYU volleyball game!
Olivia got a little bored at the game...
We flew home to LA on the 27th, and the next day Becky's mom came to town for a Disneyland trip! Poor Nick had to go to school and wasn't able to come...so even though we look like we're having fun, we're not :)
Where to next, Olivia?
Olivia's favorite part of the trip was the splash pad in California Adventure. It was pretty hot, so she had a blast getting soaked!
May 3rd was Becky's birthday! We celebrated by going to the beach in Santa Monica. This was only Olivia's second time going to the beach, and her first time actually going in the ocean-- she absolutely loved it!
Playing in the sand
Opening presents! Downton Abbey...
...and Just Dance! Olivia and Becky have lots of dancing to do now!
Oh how we love that Nick gets an Easter break for school! We drove to San Jose to visit Nick's family for a few days to celebrate the holiday.
When we arrived, Olivia opened a package from Nick's mom. She thoroughly enjoyed the goodies inside...and all the packaging it came in!
They might be finding little strands of grass for a while...

Olivia and her Great-Grandma
Olivia loved playing with her great-uncles, but she was still a little shy around Great-Grandma. One night they watched Olivia for us, and we got to go on a real date to kinda celebrate our anniversary next week! We decided to be really fancy: mini golf! It was so nice to just be the two of us out together, and we had a lot of fun.
Although, we need to practice our "selfie" skills...
We also took Olivia to the mall to meet the Easter Bunny. Despite the hour-long line, Olivia was in a pretty good mood and got along quite well with the guy!
We drove home Saturday night and this morning Olivia woke up to find some nice treats from the Easter Bunny! It was funny to watch her during her little Easter egg hunt - we just gave her the basket and she knew egg-xactly what to do :)
So Happy Easter from our family to yours! We are so grateful for the holiday and what it represents - that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, was resurrected, and truly lives today.
Last week Becky and Olivia went to visit Becky's sister Kathryn and her family in Las Vegas! Olivia absolutely loved playing with her cousin Logan! When you put these two toddlers together, they are quite the handful - they sure kept us busy! But it was so sweet to watch them play and run all over together.

Logan has figured out how to open doors, especially the pantry. So he would open the door, then Olivia would follow, and they would play and make a big ol' mess!
Snack time
Kathryn and her family live really close several different parks, so we went on lots of walks and stroller rides to go play outside.

We tried hard our whole visit to teach Olivia how to crawl down stairs. She made a little progress, but usually just went back to her habit of standing at the top of the stairs and screaming for help to come back down. Hopefully she'll figure it all the out before our next visit!
Logan thought Olivia was very intriguing. For example, he stole Olivia's pacifier a few times, trying to figure out why she found it so appealing.
He also was really interesting in the soft, long strands coming off the top of her head, especially when it was up in a ponytail.
Last Friday Olivia had a check-up with her pediatrician. She is now a whopping 20 lbs (10th percentile) and 30.5 in (45th percentile). Her weight percentile has stayed pretty steady, but she made a jump up in her height percentile - way to go, Olivia!
Since Olivia is obviously so grown up now, Becky decided today that Olivia should get her first pedicure :)

All done!
P.S. we experienced our first real California earthquake on Monday morning! It was a 4.4 magnitude, so not that big, but it still scared us. Becky was at work at the hospital when it happened and, since her floor is up a few stories, really felt the rocking. Nick was woken up by the initial jolt and thought at first that a car had hit our apartment building! Olivia sorta work up from it, but was relatively unfazed. Time to really start working on our food storage and emergency preparedness!
Sorry you have been neglected lately, Blog. But it's time to document what we have been up to!
At the end of February Becky's mom came to visit for a few days. We had fun eating lots of sweets, going on walks with Olivia, and of course, going to Disneyland!
Outside the Brady Bunch house - it's just a few streets down from our apartment!
Olivia was a little intimidated by Sulley...

Olivia's looking pretty tired here...sometimes it's exhausting to have so much fun!
Last week was Nick's Spring Break, so we flew to Atlanta to visit Nick's family for the week. We hadn't seen them since last summer, so it was great to see his parents and little brother again. Half way through the week Nick's sister Megan flew out and surprised us, so we all got to be together! Olivia loved getting so much attention from everyone and getting to run around a big house. We hung out at the house (it was super cold!) went shopping, ate yummy food, and did lots of dancing...well, that was done mostly by Olivia :)
Worst part of the trip: 5.5 hour plane ride with a wiggly toddler...
