Hello world, we have some news

Poor blog, we're sorry we've been neglecting you.  It's so much easier to throw a quick pic up on Facebook or Instagram than to sit down and do a decent blog post.  Plus we've been a little more preoccupied than we were at the end of last year.  Mainly due to this little one...

Yes, the rumors are true, we are having another baby!  We recently announced it by making this little video with Olivia:

Becky felt sick for pretty much all of January and February, but the nausea and vomiting is finally starting to back off (thank heavens!).  And thus the reason for our blog's absence of new posts.  But here's a bit of what we've done recently to try and make up for it.

In January, Nick started his NEW JOB (!!) as an adjunct professor at Loyola Marymount University.  He is teaching a class called "Rewriting the Feature Screenplay"and is really enjoying it so far.  It also works out well with Becky's work schedule, which is a blessing.

In February Olivia started her first dance class.  In the beginning Becky was definitely more excited about it that Olivia, but now she cannot wait to go every week.  It is a combined ballet/tap class, and she loves to practice her moves anytime, anywhere (we're trying to teach her about places where it may not be so appropriate to be dancing, like during church in the middle of sacrament meeting.  Baby steps, baby steps...)

We also got a quick visit from Grandpa Brian!  We went to Travel Town and looked at all sorts of cool trains, made "Grandpa Juice" (aka lemonade), and had a ball playing with him constantly.

And now that Becky is feeling better, we've made a few visits to Disneyland.  Since our new baby will be born this summer, we are thinking we may not renew our annual passes, so are getting in lots of fun visits while we can!  Last time we went we did their Easter Egg hunt, where you look for large eggs painted like characters all over the park.  It was pretty fun for all three of us.

"A Donald egg!"

Animation class!
"Mom, I hug Minnie? Pwease, pwease??"
Other than that, we've been hanging out at home, taking it easy.  Olivia is becoming more and more independent (or insisting that she can be independent), so she always keeps us on our toes.  She loves to sing, pretend to be a princess, FaceTime with family, and help us in the kitchen.
