The Big "4 Years"!

Last week Nick and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary.  In the past, we have had pretty lame anniversary celebrations.  But this year, we said to each other, "Treat Yo'self!"

Becky's mom was gracious enough to come watch Olivia for us.  Our getaway wouldn't have been possible without her!

On Monday morning we jetted down to Anaheim to spend a romantical two days at Disneyland!

Flashback time: Once upon a time, many moons ago, we went to Disneyland with a bunch of friends right around the time we started dating.  We hadn't been back just the two of us since then!

Nick and Becky: The early years (2010)

Since we were staying at a Disneyland hotel, we (aka Nick) decided it would be fun to go on the Grizzly River Rapids early one morning.  We were the only people in our raft...and they let us go around twice without getting off!  We were rather chilly and wet afterwards, but thankfully were able to scurry back to our hotel and change quickly.

More cap and gown pictures coming soon!!
We had such a lovely time on our two day mini-trip.  We enjoyed going on big kid rides and not having to worry about where we parked our stroller :)  But by the end of our trip, we really missed our Olivia and were happy to come home to her!

Have we ever mentioned how silly Olivia is?

But we sure like her.

Our Easter Weekend

We've had a lovely time getting ready for Easter!  On Friday we went to Underwood Family Farms.  They had some Easter activities, all sorts of animals, and little rides for the kids.  As soon as we got there, Olivia found a wooden stationary train.  She's a little obsessed with trains right now, so she ran right over and sat in it...

...for like 15 minutes.  No joke.  We could not get her out.  She just sat there, looking out the window.  Don't let her face fool you, she was loving it.

"...And I'll be with him, on that midnight train to Georgia..."
We finally coerced her into doing some other things at the farm.

Giant Easter eggs!

Our favorite thing she did was a pony ride!  She was so brave and calm for it, we think she's destined to be a cowgirl!

But if you ask her, Olivia's favorite thing she did was ride a little "choo-choo".

We had a pretty low-key Easter morning at our house - just a little Easter egg hunt and a basket for Olivia from the Easter Bunny.  The morning started out a little emotional, but she was in a much better mood after seeing her Easter goodies.

We spent the rest of the day watching General Conference and had a delicious Easter feast for dinner (planned, prepped, and cooked entirely by the one and only Nick himself).  We had a great day; we're so grateful we could play with our silly little girl, hear our modern-day prophet, and focus on our Savior.
