It's the Holiday Season!

We love this time of year!  First, let's backtrack to when the festivities really began - Olivia's birthday!!

Since Olivia shared her birthday with Thanksgiving this year, we drove up to San Jose to spend some time with Nick's grandma and uncles.  We had lots of fun celebrating her birthday a few days early with them.  And, as always, Olivia loved being the center of attention :)

Happy girl!

We drove home on Wednesday, and so on Thursday we celebrated Olivia's real 2nd birthday!!!...oh yeah, and Thanksgiving.  We saved a couple presents for Olivia to open that day, including some beloved balloons!

We had a splendid Thanksgiving feast, majority of which was prepared by our household sous chef, Nick.  It was so delicious and gave us tasty leftovers for days.  Despite her picky food tendencies, the Birthday Girl was good and tried a teensy bit of everything.

And now, wouldn't ya know it, it's almost Christmas!!  Nick's school wrapped up a couple weeks ago (only 1 more semester, eek!), and it's been so nice to have him at home more, homework-free.  We recently went to Disneyland to see all the Christmas decorations.  It was crowded but still fun to be in the holiday atmosphere.  We also took the opportunity to have Olivia wear her Jessie costume  one last time before she grows out of it.

The whole Toy Story gang!
Looks like Jessie traded in her horse for a fish.

And then we've just been getting ready for Christmas. Here's the sequel to last year's hit: "How to Decorate a Christmas Tree with Olivia."

She'll have her own decorating show soon enough.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
